From the four presidents to the Cathedral Spires of Custer State Park, to the rugged Badlands you will be amazed at the beauty found here. The Black Hills are a cherished part of South Dakota's identity. We hope you will join us for this trip of a lifetime!

Day 1:

• Depart from Ft. Wayne, IN. 

• Breakfast at Creighton's Crazy Egg Cafe, Warsaw, IN.

• Lunch stop on your own

• John Deere Pavilion, Moline, IL.

• Check-in at Drury Inn Iowa City Coralville, Iowa

• Dinner included at the hotel                                                                                                                                           

Day 2:

• Full breakfast included at the hotel

• Lunch stop on your own enroute 

• An afternoon visit to see the Falls at Falls Park in Souix Falls, South Dakota

• Dinner included TBA

• Check-in at Clubhouse Hotel in Sioux Falls, SD.

Day 3:

• Full breakfast included at the hotel

• A visit to Wall Drug SD., a popular attraction with lunch included in the cafe

• Meet our step-on guide

• Welcome to the gateway to The Black Hills. Guided tour of The Badlands National Park in our motorcoach. 

• Check-in at K Bar S Lodge near Keystone S.D. Our home for 4 nights, Take a deep breath & enjoy the views of Mt. Rushmore from this prime location. Stacy will get your keys and the luggage handlers will deliver to your room. Relax on the deck with a firepit and soak in their outdoor hot tubs   

• Welcome dinner included at the K Bar & S Lodge 

Day 4: 

• Full breakfast included at the lodge

• Depart

• Motorcoach through Custer State Park known for it's stunning beauty, rolling hills, granite peaks, & crystal clear lakes. Stop at the visitors center and then travel to the Wildlife Road where the buffalo roam. A stop at the Bison Center and learn about their famous "Buffalo Roundup"

•  Lunch included in the "Game Lodge" at Custer State Park

• A narrated Jeep ride on Needles Highway which is famous for winding through narrow tunnels and past towering granite spires.

• Dinner on your own at the lodge

• K Bar & S Lodge

Day 5:

• Full breakfast included at the lodge

• Big Thunder Gold Mine Tour & Panning in Keystone

• Visit Kevin Costner's Tatanka-Story of the Bison in Deadwood SD.

• Fort Hays Old West Town & Movie Set for Kevin Costner's Dancing With the Wolves in Rapid City SD.

• Dinner included at Fort Hays Chuckwagon Supper & Cowboy Music Variety Show

• K Bar & S Lodge 

Day 6:

• Full Breakfast included at the lodge

• Mount Rushmore National Memorial. This special landmark celebrates the history and legacy of the U.S. It is an impressive engineering feat that serves as an important symbol of American pride & patriotism.

• Lunch on your own, shops & sightseeing in Keystone

• Crazy Horse Memorial visit. This is a mountain monument under construction which will depict a Lakota warrior, riding a horse and pointing to his tribal land. This monument has been in progress since 1948 & is far from completion. Lunch on your own here.  

• Farewell Dinner will be at the iconic Ruby House in Keystone 

• Evening patriotic return visit to Mt. Rushmore one last time to watch the Ceremonial Night Lights of the monument 

• K Bar & S Lodge

Day 7:

• Full Breakfast included at the lodge

• Check-out

• Depart

• Another visit to Wall Drug heading East. Lunch on your own at choices of restaurants & more time to visit the wonderful art museum, downtown shops & stop by Golddiggers for your Black Hills gold & more. 

• Famous Corn Palace Tour in Mitchell SD.

• Dinner included at Pizza Ranch in Mitchell SD.

• Check-in at Clubhouse Hotel in Sioux Falls, SD.

Day 8:

• Full Breakfast included at the hotel 

• Check-out & depart

• Lunch included & The Brown's Music Show at The Brown's Theater in LeMars, Iowa.

• A visit to Wells Ice Cream Parlor (Home of Blue Bunny) on your own in LeMars known as The Ice Cream Capital of the World

• Dinner stop on your own at famous Iowa 80...the World's Largest Truckstop

• Check-in at Cambria Hotel near Bettendorf, IA. 

Day 9:

• Breakfast included at the hotel

• Check-out & depart

• Lunch Stop on your own 

• Welcome Home!!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

In the event of an emergency that would prevent you from going on the trip, we will try to refund as much as possible, depending on reservation policies of suppliers. Kellam Road Trips cannot guarantee any refunds after 90 days prior to this extended trip, unless a replacement can be found. If Kellam Road Trips cancels the trip, you will get a full refund.
